The installation process of synthetic turf, sports courts and synthetic ice all vary depending on the project required. However, below is the general process for installing each surface for resource purposes.

Synthetic Turf

Step 1.) Grounds are assessed in advance, specifications are written, dates are set and construction is planned

Step 2.) Natural turf is removed

Step 3.) Foundation is laid and compacted with subgrade

Step 4. ) Drainage system installed, gutter systems created

Step 5. ) Base aggregate and fine aggregate are evenly laid

Step 6.) Laser grading takes place

Step 7.) New turf is laid (Shock pad laid underneath…if applicable)

Step 8.) Field marking (if applicable)

Step 9.) Game time!

Sports Courts

Step 1. ) Grounds are assessed in advance, specifications are written, dates are set and construction is planned

Step 2.) Natural grounds are excavated

Step 3.) Foundation is laid and compacted with subgrade, forms and grades are set

Step 4.) Geotextile material is laid

Step 5.) Crushed stone is laid and compacted

Step 6.) Geogrid material laid over stone

Step 7.) Crushed stone is laid again and compacted

Step 8.) Concrete poured (if required)
Step 9.) Rubber matting is laid

Step 10.) Sports court tile laid and assembled

Step 11.) Game time!
