Environmentally
Implementing synthetic fields for your outdoor sports or recreation programs can be highly beneficial to the environment. Granted, every situation should be assessed as to how and where a synthetic field shall be constructed, but also if it is would benefit the program long term. First, synthetic grass provides an immense decrease in water needed for proper irrigation. It significantly reduces the discharge of CFC’s and other pollutants into the environment. It also eliminates the use of fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides, which in turn reduces the amount of paper and plastic needed to package them. The installation of a granulated rubber infill into the turf is an EPA recommended method to recycle scrap tires. Finally synthetic turf fields result in less land required for matching hours of use, therefore conserving the demolition of trees, shrubs and plants needed for massive construction.

Synthetic Turf:
Although the initial financial investment for a synthetic field is fairly expensive, the long term payout far outweighs preliminary start up costs. Where our customers see dramatic savings is in the maintenance and labor costs which are typically two to three times less than natural turf. Synthetic turf maintenance costs will vary though due to different climatic regions, but also due to different specifications and resources available at municipalities, educational, corporate and residential arenas. Whatever the use may be, there is no mowing, irrigation or chemicals that are involved. This in turn saves on equipment purchases, repairs and fuel.
In the sports arena, synthetic turf will decrease the amount of canceled games and practices and will extend games past normal season of play if desired. Because of its consistent availability, synthetic turf fields can become a reliable source of rental revenue for schools and communities.
Sports Courts:
Liken to synthetic turf, installing a sports court requires an investment however, the payback comes in the long term. Our sports courts have a 25-30 year life span with a 15 year limited warranty. The average out the cost of repairs and maintenance to an asphalt court is around $5,000 - $7,000 for every three to four years. This includes resurfacing, cleaning, crack repair and repainting. With the sports court, once the initial install has been completed minimal maintenance is required thereafter.
